（グリーン）インフラとまちづくり

本年度のASLA賞が発表になっています  https://www.asla.org/2020awards/ 大賞には隈研吾設計の「Cultural Crossing Transforms Portland Japanese Garden into a Place of Cultural Dialogue」などが選ばれ、以前この ブログ でも紹介した「 Climate Positive Design 」も受賞しています。 個人的に今回の一番の注目は” One Health ”の理論を適用し分析・調査分野で受賞した「 Rwanda Institute for Conservation Agriculture (RICA) 」です。 アフリカ・ルワンダは、今後 30 年間で人口が倍増すると予想されていますが、その人口を支えるための無計画な住宅地開発や持続的に経営できる農地の不足が課題となっています。 これに対処するため人と動物、植物の健康が相互に密接に関係するという One Healthのコンセプトを導入し、新しい農業のエコシステムを構築する マスタープランを作成しています。 具体的には、美しく環境負荷の低い持続可能な運営が可能となるファームが提案されており、水のカスケード利用、廃棄物の循環利用、再生可能エネルギーと地産地消材料の採用、持続可能な農業を支える人材教育などを適用しています。 先進国のノウハウを押し付けるのでなく、地域の課題を丁寧に定義し、地域の資源を発掘し、地域の人材で取り組む姿勢に敬意を表したいと思いました。

BRIEF The LA+ CREATURE design ideas competition asks entrants to do three things: First, choose a nonhuman creature as your client (any species, any size, anywhere) and identify its needs (energy, shelter, procreation, movement, interaction, environment, etc.). Second, design (or redesign) a place, structure, thing, system, and/or process that improves your client’s life.
