Mixed Findings in Q3 2011 ASLA Business Quarterly Survey

7月に”米国のランドスケープアーキテクト職の成長”というブログを載せましたが、今回はちょっと残念なニュースをご紹介します。

10月24日付のＡＳＬＡの発表によると、ＬＡの求人数は前四半期と比較して減少傾向に転じたとのことです（グラフの出典はＡＳＬＡ）。

「広範にわたる不安と経済の不確実性が下方圧力となっているが、一方で多くの企業が新しい顧客を見つけ始めている」とのコメントが紹介されています。

業務の領域の調査データでは、ハウジング（66.2％）や公園（64.9％）に加え、雨水管理に取り組んでいる企業が43.1％もいると示されています。また、Historic preservation（24％）やSecurity design（8.3％）も目立っており日本の状況との差異がわかります。
